The ShiningStar is Lady Ashen's sword. Once her mother's, passed on to Ryler, then to Ashen. It was the blade that helped her mother defeat Darren's father. Before dying, she passed the sword onto Ryler. When Ashen searched for Ryler's body, she found the ShiningStar close to his body. During his last words he told her, "My love, the blade is yours now, use it to defend yourself from Darren." The ShiningStar has magic locked inside it, which starts to regain it's power before the fight with the Guardian.
